Clare L. Milliner is a life-long resident of Chester County, Pennsylvania. She attended West Chester University and Delaware Law School and was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 1983. From 1986 to 1989 she clerked for the Honorable Lawrence A. Wood in the Court of Common Pleas of Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Clare joined Brutscher, Brutscher & Foley in 1989 and became a partner in 2004, at which time the firm became Brutscher Foley Milliner & Land LLP. Clare specializes in family law, including divorce, custody, and support and Orphans’ Court matters, including adoptions, will contests and estates. She also is an experienced mediator.

Clare is also a musician, and musical archivist and historian. She and her husband Walt Koken are the authors and publishers of The Milliner-Koken Collection of American Fiddle Tunes (2011). They are members of an old time band known as Orpheus Supertones. More information regarding the book and the band can be found at
